And So They Danced
Dear Reader,
I remember when my grandmother was alive at hours such as this I would have music playing, louder than anticipated, and at the most unexpected time, she would lightly knock on my door and asked me what I was doing.
Being startled, I'd say something along the lines of, "Oh...not much, I'll be going to bed soon."
Then she'd smile, like she knew. In the moment I would bet she didn't, but thinking back on it now, in those still moments at night is when she'd be awake too, and she was fully aware of what was going on.
I was spending time with Him taking advantage of those still moments like they'd never come again.
God reminded me tonight of those moments, which honestly since being in such a still environment at home,
with no homework, classes, or plans...
He's calling me back to them again, and this poem is that reminder, and peek into what they were like.
Have you ever seen something so dusty that it almost looked like a blanket over whatever had been just left there.
Well title that shelf "Jessica's Poetry" and that will describe when the last time I wrote a poem was, haha.
(In other words...it's been ages)
I seem to get these unctions to write at the latest hours.
He knows me well.
"And So They Danced"
Written 12.13.2011
What an hour.
What a time.
Inconvenient?
No.
The timing is just right.
It's right because the heart knows.
It beats faster,
to the drums in the Spirit,
keeping time with Heaven.
Beckoning is the tune that plays.
What a sound.
What a rhythm.
Systematic?
No.
It flows just fine.
It flows just fine because the time is right.
To get away,
responding to a call of intimacy,
with the Creator,
Orchestrating the opportunity He composed.
The perfect score.
The perfect Partner.
What response should be given,
to the praises raining down from Heaven,
into the space where anticipation rose.
An invitation divine,
could not be ignored.
A Hand extended,
to join.
And so They danced.
Father.
Child.
Eternity never seemed so near.
Heaven never came so close to earth.
As He takes the time to call out to you:
respond.
Blessings,
JB
Oh, and here's some music that sparked this.
(I'm a bit late, and just found out about this Jon Thurlow guy)
In remembrance of His faithfulness...
Thank you Wanda, for helping me figure out how to finally put videos up.
